THS Makes Changes to the School Uniform
In response to the triennial uniform review, including community, student and staff consultations, the BOT have approved changes to the school uniform. As of now, plain black jackets may be worn as well as plain navy jackets. No other colours of jacket have been approved.
A high number of requests were made for school blazers. These have been approved by the BOT as an option for all students. The school will inform you about ordering these and has managed to find a supplier who is offering a price which compares well with the school jersey. Understandably, the bigger our order for these, the lower the cost. They are fully lined, have three external pockets and one breast inner pocket. They also have the school crest.
As of 2011 the Years 12 and 13 students have the option of wearing their current uniform or the following “Senior Uniform”. Mufti is NOT an option.
Yr 12 & 13 Boys:
- Well fitting dress trousers, plain black, grey or navy (in terms 1 & 4, black, grey or navy dress shorts optional) [no track pants or jeans]
- plain black or brown belt
- Collar shirt, predominantly white or blue [underwear should not protrude]
- Winter – Tie (discretion needed for pattern or design)
- Shoes / dress boots, black or brown (in terms 1 & 4, sandals optional) [not sports shoes or rubber jandals]
- Plain navy or black V-necked or school jersey
- Plain navy or black vest
- School Blazer / School navy or black jacket
- navy or black sunhat / cap (summer) or beanie (winter)
- Year 12 boys clean shaven.
Yr 12 & 13 Girls:
- Dress, (approximately knee length or below) predominantly black / navy / blue [not strapless or string straps
- ]… or skirt (approximately knee length or below) predominantly black / navy / blue
- … or well fitting dress trousers, plain black or navy (in terms 1 & 4, Black or Navy dress shorts optional) [no track pants or jeans]
- shirt / top, predominantly white / blue (not transparent, low cut or showing midriff)
- Shoes/dress boots, black / brown (in terms 1 & 4, sandals optional) [not sports shoes or rubber jandals]
- Plain navy or black jersey or cardigan or school jersey
- Plain navy or black vest
- School Blazer / School navy or black jacket
- navy or black sunhat / cap (summer) or beanie (winter)
Dress Uniform:
Boys: black, navy or grey trousers, white collared shirt, school tie, blazer (This can be borrowed from the school), black or brown shoes,Girls: black, navy skirt or trousers, white collared shirt, school tie, blazer (This can be borrowed from the school) black or brown shoes
All garments are to be clean, tidy and in good repair with no slogans.
Jewellery may be worn discreetly, no facial piercing or visible tattoos
