Health Committee 2015

We have had an extremely busy Term 1, with lots of things on our agenda being ticked off. On the 7th & 8th of March, 13 students completed the Relay for Life which involved 24 hours of walking/running to raise money for cancer. Along with Mr Sinclair, we attended a Health Promoting in Schools Workshop in Dunedin, which gave us several ideas on how we can promote health in our school for the entire year. On the 26th March, 5 brave students and 1 parent will be shaving their heads to raise money for cancer research. We are looking starting a Toko Up & Go Breakfast Club, where students can come get a free smoothie before the school day starts! We are brainstorming new ideas for the canteen and are hoping to promote more lunchtime activity, so keep an eye out for Zumba at lunch time!

Thank You,

Georgia Pringle and Monica Beck
