Student Council

Student CouncilEach class from within the form groupings, from Years 7-13, has a representative on the School Council.
Training and experience in meeting procedure, the democratic process, decision making and the taking of responsibility is gained at an early age. Initiatives taken by the School Council have seen many improvements in the facilities and programmes offered to our students.
Each representative is required to
  • Attend all meetings
  • Ensure their form class are kept up to date with the minutes of the meetings, write down their concerns
  • Carry out any questionnaires or surveys that the Student Council may feel is necessary to help with informed decisions
  • Take part in student workdays and encourage participation and prompt payment of your form class
  • Make yourself available as help to your form teacher as appropriate
  • Be  a positive role model ... through behaviour in class and in the playground, attendance at school, how you wear your uniform, participating in other aspects of school
  • To act as a class representative on Level 1 Restorative Practice meetings.
