Behaviour Management Handbook

For 2012 and beyond, a handbook for teachers has been developed that sets out the behaviour management for teaching and learning at Tokomairiro High School. The objective of this handbook is to develop a trusting learning atmosphere in all situations, across all classrooms, that encourages all individuals to achieve to their potential. The handbook sets clear expectations and procedures that acknowledge behaviour and the link to learning. It also sets out the processes in place to support students to develop their ability to self manage.

Cybersafety Agreement

Our school has rigorous cybersafety practices in place, which include cybersafety use agreements for all school staff and students.  The overall goal of the school in this matter is to create and maintain a cybersafety culture which is in keeping with the values of the school, and legislative and professional obligations.

Complaints

The wider interests of both the school and its community must be protected and enhanced as must the school's relationships with its stakeholders and its community. In applying this principle the individual concerns of all staff and students need to be recognised.
The school environment should be such that parents, staff and students feel able to come forward with concerns and know all matters will be dealt with fairly and with discretion.
